When Coherent Hotels purchased the Aspen Hotel in 2015, it was obvious that the hotel was not befitting of the stunning views it enjoyed.
An extensive remodelling and rebranding exercise commenced and over the next 3 years a complex process of sequencing and consenting ensured the hotel was able to operate as works were carried out. The view is front and centre of all decisions and quality is the keyword in shaping the outcome.
When the newly named "Kamana Lakehouse" emerged, the interiors were as suitably impressive as the views, with natural timber, whitewashed stone and metal finishes and four bespoke fireplaces inviting guests to linger and soak in the atmosphere or enjoy the tapas inspired dining high above Lake Wakatipu.
